Tualatin, OR, Holjeron announces the availability of conveyor control assemblies and 24 volt DC motor-driven rollers capable of operating in extreme temperature and humidity conditions, such as frozen food plants and warehouses.
Using the company’s Zonelink™ controls and Microroller® powered rollers, the new harsh duty subsystems – available in off-the-shelf or customized version - are ideal for freezer and refrigerator applications, as well as low ambient temperature environments both indoors and out. Customers may select a pre-engineered two-zone controller assembly designed specifically for rugged environments. All control wiring is completed for “plug and run” operation.

Holjeron’s Harsh Duty Dual Zone Controller Assembly provides protection for the electrical controls, driver cards and wiring for the powered rollers. The Hoffman NEMA 4X aluminum or thermoplastic enclosure is equipped with quick-connects for input power, photoelectric sensors and node-to-node communication.

The Controller Assembly may include an optional 24VDC power supply to operate two Microrollers, two sensors and the communication connections. Two Zero Pressure Accumulation (ZPA) motor driver control cards manage the motor operation and provide selectable modes of operation in a stand alone configuration. No PLC or programming is required. DeviceNet connectivity is available.

Holjeron utilizes unique control firmware to insure the Microrollers remains within operating temperature specifications in environments as cold as -25C. With stainless steel seamless construction, these harsh duty Microrollers are rated from -20F to 140F and are sealed to IP 65.

The Microroller drive cable is mounted through a cord grip opening located on the underside of the enclosure to protect against washdown or spray cleaning. (Optional Mil Specification quick connects are available for the 9 pin control cables). Customers need only connect input power and their preferred photo sensor(s).
