Big Ass Fans Helps Provide an Extreme Makeover

Oct. 20, 2009
Big Ass Fans donated two eight-foot Isis fans to the ABC television show “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”

The episode, which appeared on Sunday, Oct. 18, focused on the rebuilding of a family’s Lancaster, Texas, home and horse barn.

Carlton and Susan Marshall are law enforcement officers who share a love of horses with their two children. While serving as a member of the Dallas police force, Carlton was wounded during a drug raid in 2007, confining him to a wheelchair.

The Marshall family now has two Isis fans in their new barn, which provide comfort to their horses year round. Isis is a commercial-grade, high-velocity, low-speed (HVLS) fan, which ranges from eight to 10 feet in diameter. Isis moves large volumes of air in spaces, which can help save energy.

“We were honored to donate these fans to such a deserving family,” says Carey Smith, owner and president of Lexington, Ky.-based Big Ass Fans.
