Stockholm, Sweden and Hilden, Germany - Intentia International AB (publ.) (XSSE; INT B) announced that on March 31, Intentia signed a contract with Amigon, Alpha Group's information and communication services company, to implement Movex, Intentia's enterprise and e-collaboration application. Alpha Group is the main distributor in Europe for a world leading fast-food service restaurant chain. Perfect partnership, competence in distribution and the rich functionality of Movex were the main factors for selecting Intentia.

The project, called ESSCOT (European Software Systems for Supply Chain of Tomorrow), covers the implementation of common processes for all distributors in Europe. In addition to traditional application component groups such as purchasing, logistics, quality assurance, sales and distribution, the system will also include Intentia's solution for e-business and portals.

In the initial phase, the customer has ordered 570 Movex licenses, with an additional 1,500 licenses planned for the European rollout within the next 12 to 36 months.

According to Luca Gnecco, CIO of the Alpha Group, "Intentia's approach of pursuing perfect partnerships with its customers convinced the Alpha Group and the related distributors to select Intentia." Intentia was also able to prove that it has the necessary industry know-how and that Movex features excellent functions to improve their business processes. As a result, Intentia was the clear winner in the selection process, which included other leading ERP vendors. "Technology was another key factor in the selection process. Intentia demonstrated that its Java-based solution meets the customer's requirements, now and into the future," said Luca Gnecco.

This contract demonstrates Intentia's strategic strength. Jan Nilsson, President of Intentia Central Europe commented, "Our decision to invest in future-proven technology as well as industry competence continues to pay off." The contract also represents another strategic win in the distribution sector where Intentia in recent years has signed deals with companies like Hagemeyer, Auto Distribution, TDL Group, Harvey Norman and Olympus. "We are proud that the Alpha Group selected Intentia as its partner and look forward to successful, long-term cooperation with them," concluded Jan Nilsson.
